The modded Tube Screamer may be cool, too, but I don't understand all the pedal threads on HC where the first thing someone needs to do with a pedal to make it usable is get it modded. A side by side comparison of these two pedals that are trying to achieve similar things. This is a tough one for me, given the price difference. I personally A side by side A/B test of the se two great overdrive pedals with high quality audio. Is there a winner? Are they interchangeable? Is one worth the extra cas I’d say the monkey has less of a midrange hump than the tube screamer.
